The Comms Dept
Productized done-for-you communications service. PCT becomes a church’s remote communications department — strategy and copywriting handled by us, execution handled by the church. Q2 2026 priority #3 in priorities and the single biggest lever in the long-term plan.
What’s in this folder
2026-marketing-spec.md— canonical pricing, deliverables, and service boundaries. Three tiers ($497 / $997 / $1,997 by church size), five deliverables (Brand Voice Workshop, Story Database, Quarterly Promotion Calendar, Quarterly Story Campaign, Weekly Comms Package).
How this connects
- Funnel role: the upsell branch at the end of makeover-funnel for churches that select “we don’t have someone to run it” on Screen 7 of the makeover modal. The pitch language and 14-email sequence live in follow-up-sequence Part Three.
- Platform agnostic: the service works for churches whether or not they’re on Nucleus. Most Comms Dept clients will also be on Nucleus (since they came through the makeover funnel), but the deliverables are written so they can be published anywhere.
- Methodology source: the deliverables operationalize the 7-building-blocks — Levels, Policy, Promotions Playbooks, Weekly Bulletin, and The Church Announcements Formula all appear directly in what gets delivered.
- Storytelling spine: start-again-stories is named as the framework inside the Brand Voice Workshop deliverable. Same methodology, applied to the customer’s church.
Status
- Pricing: locked. Three-tier model ($497 / $997 / $1,997) based on church size, same deliverables across all tiers.
- Marketing site: spec exists; build/launch TBD alongside the Nucleus marketing site rebuild.
- Live customers: TBD — Q2 2026 priority is to launch and onboard the first 5–10 paying churches.
- Profit-share alignment: the executive 7 (team — sensitive) collectively receive 25% of The Comms Dept profits in exchange for supporting and maintaining the service.
