Existing-Customer Reply Scripts (Comms Makeover)
For team: Templates for replying to existing Nucleus customers who self-identify via Screen 8’s secondary CTA and email
hello@nucleus.church. Validate the inbound (look up MRR + v1 history in Nucleus admin), apply the resolution algorithm in v2-eligibility-and-tracking, pick the matching template, fill variables, send. The reply IS the proposal — the church gets added to the Existing Users sheet only after they agree.
Which template
| Customer state | v2EligibilityOutcome | Template |
|---|---|---|
| MRR ≥ $199 (Complete, any v1 status) | mission_control_only | A |
| MRR < $99 (Essential, any v1 status) | eligible_no_gate | C |
| $99 ≤ MRR < $199, hadV1Makeover = true | eligible_must_upgrade_first | B |
| $99 ≤ MRR < $199, no v1 (Standard) | eligible_must_upgrade_first | B |
Template B (must commit to Complete) is for Standard-tier customers only. Essential-tier customers (any v1 status) get Template C — forcing them from <$99/mo to $199/mo is too steep; the binary Standard-or-Complete choice covers the MRR justification.
Variables
[CURRENT PLAN]— Essential / Standard / Complete (B only)[CURRENT MRR]— current Nucleus monthly revenue, e.g.$99(B and C)[UPGRADE DELTA]— Complete ($199) minus current MRR (B)[STANDARD DELTA]— Standard ($99) minus current MRR (C)[COMPLETE DELTA]— Complete ($199) minus current MRR (C)
Subject line is locked: customer email arrives as Comms Makeover - Existing Nucleus Customer; reply with Re: Comms Makeover - Existing Nucleus Customer. The team’s inbox triages on this string — don’t change it.
Template A — Complete-tier customer (mission_control_only)
Body:
Thanks for reaching out. I checked your account - you’re already on Complete, which means a full comms makeover would mostly duplicate what you’ve got.
But there’s one new thing we’d love to add to your site for free: Mission Control.
Mission Control is a private collection of 8 reference documents installed directly into your Nucleus Posts:
- Church Communications Policy
- The Church Announcements Formula
- Social Media Safeguards
- Church Social Media Policy
- Ministry Level Assignments
- The 7 Building Blocks overview
- Central Hub Quick-Start Guide
- Promotions Playbooks
It’s the methodology layer that makes everything you’ve already got actually stick. Your team uses it every week as the reference for what to promote, when, and how.
No plan change. No new billing. We just install it.
Want me to set it up? Reply yes and we’ll get it scheduled.
Template B — Below Complete, must commit to Complete (eligible_must_upgrade_first)
Body:
Thanks for reaching out. I checked your account - you’re on the [CURRENT PLAN] plan at $[CURRENT MRR]/mo, and you qualify for a comms makeover.
Here’s how it works for existing customers:
The makeover itself is free - same package new customers get (custom website, professional photography, The 7 Building Blocks installed, Mission Control, Plan-A-Visit and New Visitor sequences, weekly bulletin template, ministry post collections for every ministry).
What changes is your plan: existing customers who do the makeover commit to Complete ($199/mo) as part of the deal. That’s $[UPGRADE DELTA]/mo more than what you’re paying now. Complete adds:
- A 3-seat Pro Church Certified Scholarship for your team (normally $5,970)
- Nucleus Giving
- Nucleus Media
Billing for Complete starts when we start work on the makeover.
The math:
- You: $[CURRENT MRR]/mo today → $199/mo at process start
- We deliver: full comms makeover + Mission Control + 3 Pro Church Certified seats ($5,970 scholarship grant) + Giving + Media
- Net difference: ~$[UPGRADE DELTA]/mo for everything above
Want to proceed? Reply yes and we’ll get the build kicked off. Or if you want to talk it through first, just say so.
Template C — Essential, no v1 (eligible_no_gate)
Body:
Thanks for reaching out. I checked your account - your existing plan is billed at $[CURRENT MRR]/mo, and you qualify for a comms makeover.
Here’s how it works:
The makeover itself is free - same package new customers get (custom website, professional photography, The 7 Building Blocks installed, Mission Control, Plan-A-Visit and New Visitor sequences, weekly bulletin template, ministry post collections for every ministry).
What changes is your plan. You’ve got two options:
- $99/mo - the full comms makeover + Mission Control. A $[STANDARD DELTA]/mo lift from where you are now.
- $199/mo - Everything above, plus a 3-seat Pro Church Certified Scholarship for your team ($5,970 value), Nucleus Giving, and Nucleus Media. A $[COMPLETE DELTA]/mo lift.
Billing for whichever plan you choose starts when we start work on the makeover.
Reply with your pick and we’ll get the build kicked off. Or if you want to talk it through first, just say so.
Editing rules
- Brady-voice. Preserve the math recap in B, the binary choice in C, and the “no plan change, no new billing, we just install it” line in A.
- Never use “v1” or “v2” in customer-facing copy — customers see “comms makeover” or “makeover.”
- “Pro Church Certified” is never abbreviated to “PCC” in customer-facing prose.
- “Mission Control” and “The 7 Building Blocks” stay exactly as named.
- Substantive rewrites: invoke a Brady-voice skill from
bradyshearer/content-enginerather than freehand-drafting (per AGENTS).
